Stray by Rachel Vincent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I found Stray to be an interesting introduction to a series, its a slower read than most first novels in this genre but the build-up is well paced. As you progress through feels as though not much has happened, as, for the most part the book is set-up for the ones that will follow.
The one thing I initially found hard to take was the outdated mindsets of some of the characters. The acceptance of certain aspects of the Werecat society by the characters as a given is the most uncomfortable aspect, despite some of the later events.
That said, an interesting read, and a great start to this, sadly too short series.
